The Spark of vision
Our journey began in 2007, just as the UHF RFID Gen 2 standard (now RAIN RFID) was gaining global adoption. With a clear mission to bring this transformative technology to Indian enterprises, Vicinity RFID Solutions was born.
We set out to solve last-mile visibility challenges using UHF RFID, believing that data and automation should empower, not overwhelm.

In our foundational years, we carved a niche by deploying RFID-based solutions across sectors like manufacturing, logistics, hospitals, banks, and power plants. This period saw the introduction of our proprietary D3T Model, a lifecycle approach designed to ensure data visibility, security, and integrity. It became the backbone of our methodology, helping clients transition from manual to intelligent systems.
2016–2024
Scaling with purpose
With experience came scale. Over the next decade, we delivered automation solutions to 50+ clients across 17 industries, becoming a trusted name in real-time, RFID-driven process optimization. Our focus expanded to include sustainable operational excellence, enabling businesses to do more with less, while minimising errors, inefficiencies, and overheads.

We rebranded as IGO Vicinity Private Limited, marking the start of our global journey.

Our Leadership

Anandkrishnan is a technology leader specialising in RFID-driven solutions for smart Plant logistics, Warehouse / Retail automation and port operations. With deep field insights and a strong focus on scalable architecture, he has led the design of platforms that enable real-time visibility, automation, and AI/ML readiness. As a board member, he contributes to the company’s strategic direction in digital infrastructure and innovation.
Vikas Modi is a seasoned technology consultant with around 30 years of cross-cultural experience, specialising in RFID and auto-identification technologies. As a recognised Subject Matter Expert by the International RFID Institute, he has successfully led the design, pilot, and deployment of RFID solutions across diverse industry verticals including manufacturing, banking, ports, logistics, and security systems.
Jay’s key Role in Igo Solutions is to ensure that the company’s medium term and long-term strategy is implemented in the most efficient way.
Jay also manages key projects within Igo Solutions that are delivering innovation and value to its customers at the heartbeat of their operations.
